August 2002 Perimeter Security, Alarms & Intruder Detection

To broaden its product range, Alarmcom has introduced a new PIR for professial security installations.

The IR80 is suitable for all residential and small commercial applications and is fitted with a specially developed fresnel lens and covers a wide-angle range of 12 m. The optic chamber is sealed and prevents insects crawling on the pyro-sensor and triggering false alarms.

Due to its unique signal processing, the IR80 reduces false alarms and has a pet immunity up to 12 kg.
