August 2002 Perimeter Security, Alarms & Intruder Detection

The IntelliSense range of passive infrared, motion sensors and glass break detectors, recently introduced to the South African market by Honeywell-TeqTrader, includes the Mini-Tek DT-515T motion sensor.

An economical alternative to the IntelliSense flagship Dual Tec DT-7235T EU motion sensor, the Mini-Tek is suitable for small, focused protection areas. The Mini-Tek features advanced dual slope temperature compensation for adjustment above and below body temperature, thereby providing improved detection and false alarm immunity.

The Mini-Tek can be flush-mounted or mounted in a corner, on the ceiling or on a wall - at floor level or to a height of 3 m. The unit comes with an optional dome-lens mask installed to block the upper portion of the PIR pattern, preventing the sensor from detecting movements that occur above it.
