Port Elizabeth-based Atlas Security have completed two major security system installations for Oakley Africa and the regional office of Dimension Data.
"When Dimension Data asked us to provide a comprehensive security solution for their regional office environment, we did not hesitate in requesting the assistance of TeqTrader," said Gary Schewitz, managing director at Atlas. "TeqTrader's product knowledge allowed us to design a comprehensive security solution incorporating intruder detection, CCTV and PC-based access control."
The challenge of various divisions within Dimension Data and departments within Oakley requiring independent alarm operation at varying times of the day or night is competently handled by the FBII XL4 multiplexed alarm system. Position Technology card readers and controllers look after a myriad of access points, PC linked with anti-pass-back supervision. These systems are soon to be expanded to cater for asset tagging.
Atlas Security was established in 1985 and their acquisition of Sharp Security with a client base of 45 links in 1990 introduced Atlas to 24 hour control room monitoring and armed response. Today Atlas takes care of more than 10 000 alarmed premises throughout the Eastern Cape.
