In today's demanding times in the fight against crime in safety, narcotics smuggling and corporate theft, the Conpass - full body screening system is now the answer for the detection of Illegal items.
Metal and nonmetal weapons, explosives, diamonds, gold, dangerous liquids and any other type of materials carried inside or on the body.
Unfortunately for criminals, the Conpass can provide officials with a detailed full visual picture within 10 s.
The system, fully imported from overseas, can be used as a standalone unit or part of an integrated access control network. The Conpass is based upon the irradiation of personnel, by a very narrow flat scanning X-ray beam and it is registrated by a highly sensitive multi-element X-ray detector. Thus the X-ray dosage received during the examination does not exceed the natural dosage received during a 1 h flight. Complying with Government Health Regulations on annual radiation dose limits, the Conpass can be used safely to scan a person up to 400 times a year.
This unit weighs 480 kg, requiring 3 x 4 m with no major shielding, as 1 m from the scanning area the radiation dose is back to natural radiation levels. The image display has 256 (8 bit) grey levels, window settings with mouse, image scrolling, multiple image display with individual windowing and up to 8X zoom.
The system has received various test certificates from Germany, France and America. Related quality and radiation tests are continuously performed during all steps of manufacturing.
To date, systems have been installed as follows:
p Three units at Dubai Airport.
p Seven to eight units at Paris, France Aviation.
p Two units at Riyadh, Jeddah Airport.
p Four units at the prison in Istanbul, Turkey.
p One unit at a Diamond mine in Angola.
p 32 units at the American State Department.
Says an R&D screening spokesman, "All of the above customers are completely satisfied with the Conpass X1280, especially with its outstanding results in detecting illegal items."
