Sesco recently introduced to its range of products the Mantis Guard outdoor protection system, which is a microprocessor-based exterior dual passive infrared detector that can be adjusted to operate in the most extreme conditions.
It can be used with all alarm control panels via a standalone 9-bit trinary receiver and features an in-built UHF transmitter (403,5 MHz) to communicate intruder detection, tamper, low battery and supervision. The central processing unit within the Mantis uses 'fuzzy logic' in conjunction with the two sensors to eliminate any false alarms from birds, pets, high winds, rain, sprinklers, etc.
Features:
* Ability to sense the presence of an intruder at 20 m in an arc of 100°.
* Quick and easy to install and move.
* Wireless (no cables to run).
* May be used to activate outdoor lighting,
* Completely weatherproof and robust.
* All sensors can be configured to monitor for burglary, tamper, low battery and supervision.
In addition, the on-board radio transmitter reports an auto-test message every half hour, ensuring reliable radio communication. Mantis is ideal for the protection of houses, farms, businesses and industrial premises.
