Residents of secure villages sometimes have to own up to three different remote controls: one for the main gates of the village, one for their residential gates and garage doors and sometimes one for the alarm system. Now, ClickOn Technology has introduced a 6-channel key-ring remote control, aimed specifically at solving this issue cost-effectively with a single remote control.
The remote control is shipped with six code-hopping channels as the factory default. Any or all of these channels can be programmed, via its channel keys to transmit a user-selected eight-digit code. The programming procedure is simple and does not require opening the unit at all. Once a channel has been programmed with the eight-digit code it will transmit that code. It may be reprogrammed with a different code or be converted back to be a code-hopping channel at any time. The solution includes a standard ClickOn code-hopping gate receiver.
The procedure for a typical secure village would be as follows:
* Program channel one of all remote controls with the same eight-digit code.
* Program channel one of a single remote control into the main entrance receiver.
Channel one of all these remote controls will now have access to the main entrance receiver. Channels 2 to 6 will still be available to each resident for his own use. These could be used for access to residential gates and garage doors, alarm system and lights.
