The latest in Eagle Technology's range of infrared illuminators is the E-IR576. This illuminator is able to illuminate an area up to 350 metres (880 nm model).
Two models are available - an 880 nm model and a 940 nm model. The 880 nm model is slightly visible and suited for normal surveillance applications. Though featuring a reduced range, the 940 nm model is less visible and better suited for covert surveillance.
Ideal for any outdoor situation, where one is unable to install visible lighting, the E-IR576 is best suited to be used with B/W cameras with a sensitivity of 0,01 lux or better. Typical applications for such a large illuminator include perimeter surveillance, illumination of container or vehicle depots, as well as airfields and or army bases. Constructed with a solid aluminium-alloy enclosure, the illuminator is painted black and has six sections of LED arrays covered with an extensive IR filter. Fitted with an adjustable swivel bracket, the E-IR576 is able to operate off 24 V a.c. (880 nm model) or 12 V d.c. (940 nm model).
