Manufactured in Japan, the rugged, rain-proof MS-12FE Takex units are outdoor-mountable, and rely on a dual-zone detection system (horizontal and vertical) to further reduce the instance of false alarms. Combined with a video surveillance system, the infrared sensors can activate cameras to record intruders as soon as detection occurs, eliminating the need for constant recording and saving space on the hard disk of the DVR.

SS&ES managing director, Ahmed Bhabha explains that the Takex MS-12FE Dual zone outdoor PIR detector is a product which will solve many security problems for both the commercial and domestic markets. Importantly, added features in the MS-12FE ensure the operation is free of false alarms.

With a wide angle range of up to 12 metres - adjustable to 180° - the Takex MS-12FE unit is fully adjustable to suit particular requirements. When in perimeter protection mode the MS-12FE has a detection range of 24 metres, making it ideal for the protection of properties and driveways.
