Ranger security detectors, distributed in South Africa by Emergency Reaction Services, has updated its entire line of security detectors beginning with the industry standard Intelliscan. The Intelliscan walk-through metal detectors now ship with panel zone lights and have undergone numerous cosmetic and engineering improvements.
Ranger's modern technology reduces the risk for both staff and clients. Ranger's multizone technology, with 18 zones, scans the different areas of one's body independently, ignoring small harmless objects. "The days of old technology units, that keep alarming for the smallest belt buckle or watch are over," says Morris Maram, MD of Emergency Reaction Services. "The built in display on the detector even displays the location of a contraband item or items on the person being scanned. Fast traffic flows are possible with the minimum of staff required to monitor the unit."
The new addition of side panel indicators as well as on the built in display, take the weapon location system one step further. Shift supervisors and management staff watching on CCTV systems can now see at a glance the status of the detector.
Many metal detectors are accumulative detectors, taking into account all the metal on the person, including nails in shoes, pens, spectacle frames, belt buckles, watches etc which then activate the alarm. These problems are overcome with Ranger's multizone detectors.
The detectors are available in 18, 6 and 2 zone versions, all fully adjustable for metal in flooring and walls.
