GE Interlogix Access and Integration recently announced that the Picture Perfect enterprise access control and security management system can be turned into a network-based central station receiver for monitoring both GE Interlogix and third party brand intrusion panels via local and wide area networks as well as phone lines.
A line card receiver provides access to any third party intrusion panel that uses Contact ID (CID) or SIA formats. Likewise, new network receivers work with GE Interlogix-based (Caddx) panels using the Caddx control family and NX-590E Ethernet module. The module additionally offers a complete and secure solution for network and Internet monitoring. Users can use both modes in order to leverage past investments of third party panels in their installed base while also deploying the new network panel for future systems and cut dependencies on phone lines.
Alarm instructions and operator responses can be customised to fit the specific needs of the user organisation. Users can respond to alarms with either keyboard or simple point-and-click mouse commands. With alarm icons and site maps, operators can quickly locate alarm points, whether in the building or on another continent, to ensure faster response times without the cost of central station monitoring fees.
