The Ajax DualCurtain Outdoor has two independent optical systems with narrow viewing sectors and flexible settings, allowing users to accurately adjust 30 metres of detection area, excluding possible sources of false alarms.
Sensor signals are analysed by Ajax’s new ELSA digital algorithm. The ELSA software reacts to intruders, screening out triggers like natural interferences and pets. Only if two sensors of the same optical system simultaneously capture human motion will the detector activate an alarm.
When DualCurtain Outdoor’s Near Area Detection is enabled, the detector’s upper PIR sensor receives an additional narrow viewing sector directed at the angle of 40° down against the main sector. The feature allows both sensors to detect movement when a human crosses the protected perimeter close to the detector’s body, addressing the common problem of blind spots.
The unit’s advanced anti-masking sensors will detect if any of its optical systems are covered, painted, or blocked.
Due to its low energy consumption, DualCurtain Outdoor operates for years from pre-installed batteries. A monitoring station and users will be notified of any low battery conditions.
