Anviz controls access to 23 McDonald’s Uruguay restaurants.
After a year of project planning, Anviz was accepted as the system supplier to McDonald’s in Uruguay. The McDonald’s company chose the Anviz T60+ terminal to be used in all 23 McDonald’s Uruguay restaurants beginning in May 2011 to manage employees’ time and attendance.
This is a pilot project that will be expanded to all the other South American countries in the near future. Feedback from the GM for McDonald’s South America and project manager Pablo Corona is that T60+ works well.
The following requirements had to be met:
1. User-friendly biometric technology.
2. Due to high traffic in the restaurants, quality and reliable hardware that is protected from the environment was required.
3. Special firmware was to be developed to match the time and attendance requirements in the restaurants.
4. External project hardware integration.
Anviz installed its Anviz Advanced sealed, waterproof and dustproof AFOS Fingerprint Sensor using the advanced BioNANO Algorithm and the Anviz T60+ reader with customised stainless steel case and plastic cover to protect from splashes. Furthermore, the customised firmware was produced in one week. All the systems were supported by mini UPSs to provide power during outages.
Anviz is represented in southern Africa by Itatec.
