RDC’s weather-resistant cabinet is designed to house two D20 or 8102 repeater units and additional chargers and batteries if necessary. It is important that the equipment is safely housed and protected from the elements and vandalism or tampering. The cabinet measures 460 mm high, 500 mm wide and 400 mm deep. Durable powder coating makes it ideal for outdoor mounting and it is lockable with a padlock. It has numerous cable entry points from the bottom and an equipment shelf with a rear opening for cable access.

The new D20 unit incorporates an internal 2 A charger with 3 A surge which charges in an offline mode for load shedding conditions. The new unit is accommodated in an only slightly bigger chassis making it ideal for the small spaces available at high sites. RDC’s refined and affordable new unit boasts single or multiple RF receiver capability as well as GPRS technology. MSK or IPRS signalling is available. Up to 30 repeaters are accommodated per network with a multi-user facility of up to 255 users.

When repeaters are hosted at commercial or communal sites, there is a need to secure the antennas against tampering. RDC’s antenna tamper brackets are intended to stop technicians who are servicing other units at these sites from swapping your functional antenna with a faulty antenna as a quick fix. The brackets allow antennas to be securely locked to the repeater with a padlock to avoid tampering.

RDC’s new TX690CIDlite is designed to offer the most important Contact ID features without affecting bandwidth at all. The transmitter can report 'open-up' and 'lock-up' by user number and 'alarm' by zone without any increase in signal length or the number of signals on the air. Up to four partitions and 31 zones are supported with up to 15 users (key holders). All the standard RDC type telemetries are reported. Transmitter self-test time is programmed at 72 hours as standard.
