Accsys will use the opportunity to engage a receptive audience at the IFSEC South Africa Securex 2009 exhibition and promote the advantages of enhanced business control and environmental consciousness via the latest available technology.
Last year Accsys drew attention when it launched its upgraded People-Ware Enterprise offering a complete payroll, HR, time and attendance and access control solution on a single database. This year Accsys has initiated a green technology campaign to run alongside the ongoing promotion and application of PeopleWare Enterprise.
The solution is Vista compatible and incorporates several new modules that cover key aspects such as time-, training-, incident- and occupations-management. As part of the Microsoft Vista compliance testing, Accsys has put PeopleWare Enterprise through rigorous testing in the virtualisation environment.
Virtualisation allows for the use of a single physical server to run the equivalent of multiple different computers, operating systems and configurations. Running multiple virtual servers on a single hardware device has a direct impact on a company’s electricity consumption.
Aside from the increase in productivity because of automated, immediate and centralised process and procedures, fingerprint-based access control and time and attendance eliminates the need for bar-code printed plastic cards or rubber-based proximity devices – both of which have a limited shelf life and are not biodegradable.
“It is a fact that globally the impact of technology on the environment and the need for more focused consideration of contribution to carbon emission is a growing priority. We will use the Securex event to not only showcase our technology, skill sets and knowledge of current and emerging industry trends, but also explain why companies need to seriously converse with service providers about the advantages of environmentally and technically sound infrastructure,” says Teryl Schroenn, CEO at Accsys.
