Doculam's appearance at Securex 2000 was the eighth in a row

March/April 2000 Access Control & Identity Management

Says Elayne Tranter, CEO of Doculam, "Securex is and always has been the showcase for the SA Security Industry, and as such it affords Doculam the opportunity of networking with current clientele as well as meeting new players in the industry."

"This year's show in particular proved to be very beneficial, many valuable leads were procured by sales reps and we hope to increase sales volume as a result of this. Our stand this year was different to previous years in that we tried to concentrate on the Doculam specialised product lines being ID Systems, Time and Guard Monitoring Systems, Garret Metal Detectors and Breathalysers. This product focus reaped rewards in that browsing customers were able to identify products and reconcile needs very quickly," she said.

"Doculam also undertook a in-depth delegate profile study at Securex with the aid of a couple of very enthusiastic students. We feel that this customer information will enable Doculam's marketing division to understand and serve customers even better this coming year.," says Tranter. "The Doculam corporate theme for the year 2000 is Interaction Satisfaction and in a competitive industry service excellence has, and always will be, the very trademark of a Doculam customer interaction."

"Securex not only identified various potential customers but enabled us to spend time trying to understand our current customers better, a factor critical to successful growth. Securex was a huge success and we look forward to seeing everyone again next year."
