Unican signs long-term supplier agreement with Chubb Security Systems

Unican Security Systems has announced that it has concluded a long-term international agreement with Chubb Security Systems for the supply of safe locks and safe/vault components.

For Unican, this agreement represents a significant growth in sales volume with Chubb and further strengthens its position in the safe and vault industry. As a preferred supplier, Unican sales to Chubb will increase to an estimated $5 million in fiscal 2001 (R35 million) from its current level of $200 thousand. (R1,4 million). Unican Group factories in North America and Europe will manufacture and supply electronic and mechanical safe locks, time locks and high-precision boltworks to Chubb operations located in Germany, France, the UK, The Netherlands, India, Canada, Indonesia and South Africa.

Chubb Security Systems is the largest single source for electronic and physical security in the world providing expertise in major disciplines including fire, access, video, intrusion, management and communications.
