Spectrum releases new wireless system

Spectrum Communications has announced the latest addition to its range of Paradox Security Systems, the Omnia wireless system.

The Omnia system supports wireless motion detectors, door contacts and remote controls

Using the latest in RF technology, Omnia's encrypted wireless communication protocol and code-hopping technology ensure reliability and signal reception. A modular system, Omnia's receiver and control panel can be installed at separate locations to ensure the best possible reception and operation.

The Omnia receiver module can be installed anywhere on the Paradox communication bus (Spectra/Digiplex). Depending on which control panel it is connected to, Omnia can expand a system by up to 16 fully supervised zones and 16 remote controls. The system supports Omnia wireless motion detectors, door contacts and remote controls within a range of 152 m.
