Universal security solution

April 2012 Products & Solutions

Kaspersky Lab has announced the worldwide release of Kaspersky-ONE, a multi-platform, user-centric universal security solution that brings comprehensive protection for the wide range of personal devices, starting from personal computers and notebooks and all the way to smartphones and tablets.

Using several personal devices simultaneously has become a common practice. A notebook and desktop computer may be accompanied by a smartphone and tablet. These devices can be based on different software and hardware platforms, but share some distinct features: they are powerful, Internet-enabled, store large amounts of personal data and are vulnerable to cybercriminal activities. It is necessary to protect valuable information on every device you own and use, and that is where Kaspersky-ONE is the right solution.

Kaspersky-ONE is available in different packages, for 3, 5, 7 or 10 devices. This product can be used to protect desktop and mobile computers running Windows or Mac OS X, smartphones and tablets. Each of these devices can be secured with one of the applications, optimised for use with the corresponding software platform:

* Comprehensive protection for Windows-based PCs.

* Award-winning anti-malware protection for Macs.

* Protection from cyber threats and anti-theft technology for Smartphones.

* Essential protection from mobile malware for Android-based tablets.

The installation and activation of Kaspersky-ONE for any device is easy, with one universal activation code being used. There is no need to upgrade subscription for each device-specific application; instead users receive a one-stop solution. Application and database updates are free of charge, and users may themselves decide what particular combination of devices will be secured by the product. For example, the package for three devices can be used for three Windows-based PCs, or two Windows PCs and one Mac, or three smartphones, or any other combination. The retail version of Kaspersky-ONE also provides a unified launcher to install each application.

Eugene Kaspersky, CEO and co-founder of Kaspersky Lab, noted, “Personal computers nowadays have lost the monopoly of storing personal information. A significant amount of very sensitive data is kept on smartphones and tablets. That is why it is absolutely necessary to secure all your digital devices against cybercrime. With Kaspersky-ONE Universal Security, all PCs and Macs, mobile phones and Android tablets that you own can be easily protected with one simple solution, which is based on the leading security technology.”
