Predator security systems launched its new Predator Outdoor Intrusion detectors. The technology minimises false alarms by compensating for external factors like wind, birds moving branches, sudden light changes etc.
The Predator outdoor PIR/microwave sensor takes advantage of the latest technology. Two separate detection technologies, infrared and microwave are used in these outdoor sensors. Two of each type of sensor is implemented to have a total of four sensors providing data to be analysed. The four sensors are accurate, but the magic is done by the internal decision making processor:
1. It first analyses data for correlation between the two types of sensor technologies.
2. Then it analyses correlation between the two sensors for each technology.
3. Using the data it is able to distinguish actual movement through the perimeter (intruder movement) and movement at a single point (swaying trees etc.).
The sensor comes with four interchangeable Fresnel lenses to provide different detection angles and distances. Very low energy consumption level allow these sensors to have a very long battery life.
Each detector’s sensitivity can be adjusted. Other features include wireless/wired connection, pet immune up to 35 kg, up to 150 m wireless range, heavy duty bracket and build-in solar panel option. With the Predator X3 alarm system the sensor sends trouble reports, such as low battery for effective sensor supervision.
