* Bosch strengthens global position in video encoders with the release of the new VIP X1600 XF H.264 high-performance IP video encoder modules.
* Ambitious goals to continue to innovate within IP CCTV realm
A recent market survey confirms Bosch Security Systems’ global leadership in video encoders for video surveillance. The 2009 IMS report on CCTV and Surveillance World put the company at number one in video encoders with a market share of nearly 12%.
These results confirm Bosch’s own expectations based on the company’s recent trend of positive growth in the CCTV market, and follow in the wake of a host of innovations recently introduced by the company. These include the revolutionary series of VIP X1600 XF H.264 high-performance IP video encoder modules featuring a completely new architecture with hardware-embedded video analytics. The modules have been introduced to meet the increasing market demand for better images with less demand on network and storage resources, in combination with ‘intelligence at the edge’ in which video analysis is pushed to the edge of a network to save system resources.
