On the back of a successful show at Securex and the subsequent tours Centurion conducted of its new production facility in Johannesburg, the company decided it needed an additional platform from which to launch its new range of products, the Centurion Big 5, to those people who could not make it to Johannesburg.
Covering all major centres from Polokwane to Cape Town, East London, Durban, and many in between, the Centurion team has been doing the rounds showcasing the new and all powerful D5 Evo and D10 sliding gate operators, the quiet XTrac garage door opener, the Sector high volume traffic barrier and the Vector2 swing gate operator.
Top of the list that sparked lots of interest was the new, patent pending, ChronoGuard technology now built into the D10, D5 Evo and Sector. This technology is housed inside a new controller with an easy to read LCD display making setting up of this new and innovative feature as well as all other parameters of the gate or traffic barrier system, intuitive and easy. ChronoGuard enables time-based functionality such as auto-activation of the system’s various input and outputs in addition to time barring of the same inputs and outputs including the remote controls supported by the onboard multichannel receiver. Through its built-in realtime clock, this seven day timer can handle up to one hundred time-based operations where the operations are not limited to the time barring or auto-activation of the same function and multiple operations can occur during the day. It can cater for special events including holidays and repeat these on an annual basis.
