EVT, a developer of networked video management and recording software, announced today the appointment of C3 Shared Service, as its distributor in the security solutions market in South Africa.
The growing security industry in Africa has created a market of opportunity for providers of safety and security equipment and services. Surveillance equipment, particularly CCTV, is the largest sector of South Africa’s security market, which is valued between $85 million and $165 million.
Under the partnership, C3 Shared Services will distribute EVT’s open platform Vertex and Apex network video management and recording software to its customers in the private, and public sector as the integrated solution combining all of C3’s distributed products. Security operators in South Africa will also benefit from EVT’s patent pending Image Content Navigation and 2.5D Live Video Maps which provide improved site perspective, greater navigation, fast and simple event resolution in realtime and in post-event investigations.
“Video management software is increasingly crucial for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of organisations’ surveillance systems,” said Brendon Cowley, Business development director for C3 Shared Services. “This partnership will enable us to deliver functional and reliable video surveillance solutions to address organisations security and safety needs.”
