ADI International South Africa has announced it will be distributing NUUO products in South Africa. ADI has elected to start its distribution by only supplying NUUO solutions through a select group of partners to ensure the brand is afforded the support required to establish it effectively in the region. Currently ACTI, Arecont, Axis and Mobotix will carry the brand for ADI.
ADI is starting its distribution on a high note with the launch of NUUO NAS NVRmini Standalone, what the company claims is ‘the world’s pioneer Linux embedded NVR for IP surveillance cameras’.
The NUUO NAS NVRmini Standalone is supplied with a Linux embedded operating system and offers an NVR platform boasting stability, openness, ease of installation and stability. What is more, being Linux-based, it is under less threat of virus attack than other Microsoft-based systems. NUUO has targeted the NVRMini Standalone at mid-size factories, buildings, supermarkets, offices, transportation systems, and homes.
This NVRmini supports two to four hard disks and four to eight IP cameras. As an open platform, the company intends to expand its scope to support more IP camera brands in the future. It is also simple to install, requiring no specific software or hardware.
Users can access the live view and playback functions from any computer with Internet Explorer. The NVRmini also makes use of RAID technology, which will see it delivering increased data transfer rates and ensure continuous system operation in the event of a disk drive failure.
The company additionally says the NVRmini comes complete with event-triggered recording, online graphical recording schedule control, instant playback systems, five methods of intelligent search, realtime A/V viewer and I/O device integration.
