Itatec is the new trading name of Clockwatch Distribution. Explains Vivian Taback, CEO at Itatec: “This marks a decision to broaden the relevance of our product range to the biometric system integration market. The old name confused potential buyers as Clockwatch is the company’s time and attendance software product, and our other product offerings remained relatively unknown.”
The company has been primarily a provider of time and attendance software, but developed an expertise in integration of Sagem fingerprint readers. The resulting product is CWbio, an advanced template and reader management system for small to very large networks of biometric readers.
At Securex this year, the company’s latest development, the BiWi controller was released. This device is a highly intelligent controller which communicates over the GSM network and manages up to four local fingerprint readers.
“The new positioning of the company opens it up to supply a broad range of installers and integrators. We require them to train in our products so that they provide a top service and so further enhance the good name of the products in the market,” adds Taback.
