Johnson Controls Systems & Service division, part of the building efficiency business, has introduced the latest version of its intelligent cardkey network controller product range, the CK722 which features a number of new and enhanced features.
The controller builds on the success of its predecessors by incorporating peer2peer networking, which alleviates the need for a server to share information or perform critical tasks.
The CK722 cardkey controllers also feature improved card holder information functionality; for example, apart from the normal access control information it can also tie assets to people and people to groups which greatly improves security and subsequent access control.
The controllers also comply with the BACnet protocol, meaning they can transfer data between devices in an object-orientated fashion. The BACnet standard defines the types of information and attributes that any device must maintain, and defines how these messages are communicated between the various devices.
The CK722 cardkey network controllers' seamless integration with Johnson Controls' P2000 Security Management System allows for improved management and maintenance.
