MAMI's versatile RAC boasts a myriad of applications. Its main function is to serve as a central wireless control panel for up to 999 transmitters, individually identifiable on the digital display board of the control panel. The receiver used in the RAC is activated by handheld transmitters (1 km range) or fixed transmitters (up to 3 km range) which can be programmed to transit in normal mode (continuously while power is applied), beacon mode (in bursts of on/off times up to 20 s) or in one short mode (once only from 0,5 to 10 s). The fixed transmitters are available in either 2 or 4-channel voltage free contacts.
The RAC has also four trigger contacts, one for each channel, which may be used for triggering a number of devices such as gate motors, sirens or long range transmitters to a response company.
Identification is determined by the setting of the code on the transmitter and once received and confirmed, this code appears on a 3-digit display of the RAC. The internal memory is capable of stacking up to seven different sequential transmissions. In the case of multichannel transmitters, four LEDs next to the display indicate which channel of that particular transmitter was activated.
The unit may be connected to a serial printer which will print out the number identifying the transmitter, the channel selected and the time at which transmission occurred.
The RAC has been used in countless applications from guard monitoring to water level control as well as a mobile unit in vehicles.
