Land Mobile Radio attract top exhibitors

September 99 News & Events

As one of South Africa's leading show organisers, International Fairs & Exhibitions believes that the forthcoming Land Mobile Radio Expo '99 will be the show that will reaffirm the place of radio communication technology as a reliable and innovative communication tool.

Wireless communication is essential in today's fast paced, fast-changing environment. It has been around longer than any cellular or Internet technology and will be an essential communication tool for years to come.

Being held at Gallagher Estate, Midrand on x5-6 October 1999, the sixth Land Mobile Radio Expo is attracting some of the leading names in wireless communication technology.

Included in the list of top exhibitors are: Alcom/Motorola, Digital Wireless Corporation, Grintek Telecom, Specialised Radio Systems, Spectrum Communications and Webb Industries.

The exhibitors will be showcasing the diverse categories of communication technology, including two-way radios, radio paging, satellite and microwave technology, radio data, control centres, network and computer applications, mapping, components, accessories and services.

"We are very excited about this exhibition," says Philip Hime, Marketing Manager of Alcom/Motorola. "It is going to be targeted and reach the decision makers in our industry as well as remind people of the advantages of this communication technology.

"Alcom/Motorola has attended all the previous Land Mobile Radio exhibitions and each time we exhibit we get a number of good leads and we are able to network with both local and international companies. The seminars which are conducted alongside the exhibition further attract industry leaders as well as provide us with the opportunity to present new technologies and experience new trends of other manufacturers."
