Face Technologies received the Century International Quality Era Award presented in Geneva. The award was presented to the international marketer of Face Technologies, Johnny Grobler at the 8th International Quality Convention in the Inter-Continental Hotel Geneva.
This international award recognises commitment to quality, leadership, technology and innovation of companies whose activities cover industrial production and services. Face Technologies, a wholly-owned subsidiary of IT service provider arivia.kom, was the only company in the IT sector honoured with this award. At the awards ceremony Face Technologies was referred to as 'a systems integrator specialised in biometrics and smartcard technologies, supplying effective integrated business solutions in the field of identification'.
The event was presided over by Jose E. Prieto, president of Business Initiative Directions, along with personalities from the business world and diplomatic corps in Geneva. Prieto noted that: "the awarded companies are symbols of commitment to leadership, technology and innovation which make them models for other companies of their sectors".
Serfies Serfontein, the managing director of Face Technologies, adds: "This is the second year in a row that Face Technologies has received this award for quality and innovation. The criteria used for the award covers quality, customer-minded approach, technological renewal, and system efficiency and thus this award recognises our commitment to these key areas of business."
Companies that attended the Convention came from a wide range of countries including Portugal, Greece, Egypt, Mexico, Serbia and Montenegro, Tanzania, Brunei, Poland, Malaysia, Estonia, Albania, the Czech Republic, Indonesia and Romania.
