GSC Systems has released a keyring RF transmitter and receiver unit that is compatible with GSC's ProxNet Access Control System. The transmitter is suitable for access applications where a long read range up to 10 m is required.
The two button RF transmitter operates in the 433 MHz licence-free ISM band. The unit uses Keeloq technology to transmit a unique 32 bit serial number together with pushbutton data in a secure manner. The data is received by a 740-10 ProxNet receiver, decoded and the serial number is output to a 649-10 ProxNet Interface.
A typical application is in a carpark access system where the user wants to be able to operate the barrier without having to wind down the window. In this application the user presses the button on the transmitter and that unit's unique code is received, decoded and sent to the ProxNet system for verification and action.
The Keyring Transmitter and ProxNet are distributed by Elvey Security Technologies.
