Lightlink, a distributor of fibre-optic interface equipment and Advanced Digital Devices, a design and manufacturer of fibre-optic interface equipment, have merged after the re-acquisition of Advanced Digital Devices from Intervid Technologies by its former owners. The new company will trade under the name and banner of Lightlink. The company now has a factory and distribution centre located in Randburg as well as a sales and design house in Centurion. Both locations have internal sales staff available to serve customers and deliveries or collections can be made at both locations. Coinciding with the merger of the two companies, Lightlink has released a new family of digital video and data conversion equipment for fibre-optic cable. The company also imports and distributes a new range of feature-packed cost-effective MPEG-4 digital video recorders with LAN capability.
