Bosch Security Systems outfits Digital Congress Networks in Botswana

Three of Botswana's Council Chambers have received a makeover and have some of the best-equipped conference facilities on the continent. The Council Chambers in Kanye, Ghanzi and Molepolole have all been outfitted with the latest digital congress network (DCN) system from Bosch Security Systems.

The LBB 3546/00 tabletop concentus is a multifunctional delegate unit that provides facilities for speaking and listening. It also allows conference participants to vote, and can ensure an entirely secret voting process. Delegates also have the option to select the language of their choice, making multilingual conferences easier and more effective than ever. The system registers and controls requests to speak and requests to respond to allow for orderly proceedings.

Delegates are also able to read information in their own language. They simply insert the chip-card into the card reader, and the graphic LCD screen automatically displays user-related information in the language assigned to that delegate's chip card. The screen has permanent backlighting, so even if the lighting in the room is low, people can still read relevant information. Another plus is that both European and icon-based languages can be displayed.

The DCN's flat-panel loudspeaker offers superior acoustics with minimal feedback, thereby increasing intelligibility. And when the unit is not being used, the loudspeaker panel conveniently folds down. This DCN system from Bosch Security Systems is compact and can be mounted according to a client's requirements - either on a tabletop or flush mounted.
