Napco's new control panel announced

November 2003 Perimeter Security, Alarms & Intruder Detection, Residential Estate (Industry)

The Napco Security Group, represented exclusively in Africa by HBA Systems, recently introduced its largest multitasking system to date. The new Napco Gemini X-255 control panel features eight zones on the main printed-circuit board, expandable using four or eight zone expansion units to 255 fully programmable, hybrid (hardwired and/or wireless) zones.

The number of user and/or access codes has also been greatly increased to 195, each code having a programmable authority level. Familiar features such as eight independent partitions, and eight access points remain, and up to 800 events are logged in the user log. Installers familiar with other Napco Gemini control panels will appreciate the similarity in installation and programming - no training is required to install the new product. Accessories such as keypads, expansion modules, relay boards, X-10 capability for up to 64-devices and wireless equipment are common over the whole Napco Gemini range.

The new Napco Windows-based down-loading software makes programming very easy.
