ADT Security wins top PMR awards again

October 2003 News & Events

For the second year running, ADT Security has come out tops at the Professional Management Review (PMR) magazine awards. This year ADT was awarded two Diamond Arrow awards, for excellence in alarms and armed response, and a Golden Arrow award for camera surveillance and access control.

"We are thrilled to be recognised again for our leadership in terms of service delivery," says Danna Strydom, managing director of ADT Security (South Africa). "We as an organisation continue to invest to raise the bar further. In the past year we have spent significant resources on our internal Big 5 programme which focuses on creating a service culture, and this training is beginning to filter through into the marketplace. We have also invested heavily in technology such as satellite tracking, to further enhance our delivery of services to clients. To be truly successful, we believe we have to offer a combination of highly trained and motivated staff and expert technology."

The annual PMR awards are based on the comments and opinions of a panel of corporate decision-makers who judged suppliers and service providers operating in the security industry. The respondents included security managers, risk managers, directors and general managers. A Diamond Arrow award is the highest award made by the magazine.

"ADT is the largest provider of monitoring and armed response services in South Africa and the survey independently confirms that we offer a superior service," says Strydom.
