In its quest for excellence and to be amongst the leaders in its field, Security Warehouse recently increased its electric fencing range as well as built new and improved testing facilities. A new exchange policy has also been introduced whereby there is no more waiting for repairs.
New camera lab
At the company's new camera testing facilities, a client will be able to compare different cameras. One can bring cameras to be tested and compare them in terms of TV lines, resolution, picture quality and lux levels. Infrared cameras can be tested in total darkness as well as by using the new adjustable light source in order to test their reaction to different light levels. Security Warehouse also has a light box that has various targets designed for accurate testing of resolution and colour balance (white balance). By using this new technology and pre-determined testing procedures, the company is able to benchmark different models of cameras and lenses.
Expanded IT and BDR department
This is the department where digital video recording systems are researched, repaired and tested. Here, Security Warehouse is able to test four digital recording systems simultaneously and there are 36 different camera outputs available for testing, plug and play. This department also includes a new demo room where all products are on display. All the features of the Bitron Digital Recorder can be viewed, such as remote dial-in on analog or ISDN, networking capabilities (LAN), and much more. Other new developments in digital video recording are also available for demo purposes such as the new point-of-sale software as well as a new range of digital recorders including embedded systems. The company's whole range of cameras have been set up in real life situations in order to view image quality on a particular camera in a specific situation such as the 25X zoom day/night high-speed dome - one of its most advanced cameras. During the day it produces a high-quality colour image with a 480 TV line display, and at low light levels it automatically displays a monochrome image at 570 TV lines.
