There have been major developments in CCTV systems and application over the last couple of years and things continue to change rapidly as a consequence of technology, the demands of government, courts and the changing security scenario locally and internationally. These new issues, standards, and technology systems and applications raise critical issues that managers need to address as part of their decision making and operations. CCTV is also interfacing with other aspects of security systems and the nature of the CCTV technology has a major impact on the effectiveness of the total security solution.
With these developments in mind, members of ISEC in conjunction with Hi-Tech Security Systems are holding a unique two day conference where key topics for the current and future management, operation and installation of CCTV systems will be discussed.
The conference will examine a broad spread of issues including the design, types of technology, and management issues driving CCTV. IP and digital recording will be part of the focus as they are two of the major trends coming through in CCTV worldwide. The presentations will try and demystify digital and provide a clearer perspective on how to decide on solutions in an increasingly digital world. However, broader security and CCTV topics still feature strongly in the conference content, including legal issues, human factors, data protection and evidence, and security strategy issues.
Many of these will make up the main challenges facing security managers in the next few years. Speakers will outline the issues and provide answers to the questions that many organisations are asking about CCTV, where they should be going, and how to implement it.
