Pierce was the active president of LRC until the spring of 2003 when he sold the company in order to pursue his true dream of training and consulting on CCTV which he had also been doing for a number of years. His training company, LTC, is a full service training centre specialising in 'application/design' and 'installation/field service' of closed circuit video systems both in the USA and internationally.

Besides his recognition in international security journals and at conferences, Pierce has received a Lifetime Achievement award from the Closed Circuit Television Manufacturers Association in the US, and a President's Certificate of Merit - American Society of Security (ASIS) for his dedication to the advancement of the security industry.

The conference takes place on 7-8 September in Gauteng.
