The 2009 iLegal conference, hosted by Hi-Tech Security Solutions and Dr Craig Donald will be held on 6 October 2009 at the Southern Sun OR Tambo Hotel in Gauteng.
The conference will address the legal aspects of running CCTV and surveillance projects in business and government today.
Surveillance is far more than simply setting up a few cameras and solving all your problems in a flash. Not only are there positioning and resolution problems that need to be catered for, but the legal aspects of the whole process must be dealt with if the images are to be of use in prosecutions.
iLegal 09 brings together an impressive range of speakers all of whom have significant knowledge and experience in their respective fields.
The keynote presentation will be from UK speakers, Mick Neville and Gemma Havard from the UK who have extensive experience in cutting edge CCTV practices around policing and criminal identification. The keynote topic is 'Making CCTV work - key factors from detection to conviction' and will cover the need for a systematic approach to CCTV use by commercial users and the police.
The day will consist of a mixture of best practice and theory, supported by real-world examples of surveillance projects in large organisations as well as the Johannesburg CBD. A panel of experts will also handle direct questions from the audience to assist delegates in dealing with the most pertinent issues they face in their day-to-day business.
