A new range of digital passive infrared detectors - the NEXT Series from Visonic - has been introduced to the southern African market by TeqTrader and will be a key feature of TeqTrader's stand at Securex this year.
The NEXT series employs frequency domain signal processing (FDSP) that eliminate many components and noisy amplifiers, solving problems of distortion, added noise and saturation caused by analog circuitry.
Harnessing the patent-pending true motion recognition (TMR) algorithm, with a high million-per-second sampling rate, the system delivers absolute detection coverage with immunity to false alarms. The series also introduces new patent-pending cylindrical optics and spherical shaped lens to provide comprehensive detection coverage. A unique nine-segment design creates true 3D multiple vertical curtains, in contrast to conventional beams.
Target specific imaging and creep zone sensitivity extend uniform protection over the entire coverage area, while new lens material protects against white light and strong UV rays, delivering long lasting sensitivity. The series shares common housing for quick upgrading or interchanging any detectors and features an attractive design with easy installation and no adjustments required.
