Ongoing IP focus reaps benefits

Lumidigm announced that its fingerprint readers are now supported by bioLock software from realtime North America, the only biometric system certified by SAP.

“Overall we are very impressed with the performance of the multispectral imaging technology in Lumidigm’s fingerprint sensors – they work in the most challenging environments and with difficult populations where other sensors can struggle,” says Thomas Neudenberger, COO of realtime North America. “Lumidigm biometrics should be very appealing choices for SAP banking and other mission-critical applications that need strong authentication across a diverse demographic.”

The bioLock software solution from realtime helps manage the identities of SAP users with biometrics and prevents insider fraud in areas such as inventory shrinkage, payroll, financial fraud or data loss. It can be used both with readers in desktop USB versions or in kiosk applications. The bioLock system manages not just the log-on, but can also enable re-authentication at granular levels within an SAP system to achieve real compliance and fraud prevention.
