Secutech 2012 will be held from 18-20 April 2012 at Nangang Taipei World Trade Centre and is expected to attract leading original manufacturers from around the world to exhibit in over 35 000-square-metres of exhibition space.
Organised by Messe Frankfurt New Era Business Media, the 15th edition of the show covers a wide range of security industry products, including IP and HD surveillance equipment.
Parson Lee, managing director, Messe Frankfurt New Era Business Media said: “Secutech 2012 is a show that security industry people cannot afford to miss. It will present a full chain of security manufacturing channels from planning, R&D, manufacturing to sales and distribution. International brands such as Tyco and Sony are confirmed exhibitors. In addition, exhibitors from China, Korea and US will form individual pavilions and Secutech 2012 is expected to attract 26 000 professional visitors.”
Secutech 2012 will feature a wide range of IP and HD surveillance products. Leading manufacturers will showcase cutting-edge IP surveillance including high-end cameras, transmission and recording solutions. In response to the demand for vehicle security products, the show will introduce a Vehicle Security Pavilion. Exhibitors in this pavilion will display everything related to onboard surveillance, including mobile cameras, mobile DVRs, ANPR cameras, and vehicle tracking systems.
Another highlight will be the Access Control Pavilion, where biometric solutions, RFID smartcards and related products and services will be displayed. Part of this pavilion includes a dedicated area for ‘made in Taiwan’ electronic locks displayed by exhibitors such as Sun Castle and Uei Haur.
Diverse fringe programme
Secutech 2012 also offers a series of events to serve the industry as an educational platform. This year’s topics include ‘The next 5 years: How security technology and applications will develop’, presented by Intel. This session will explore three stages of electronic security technology development – intelligent security, efficient solutions and eco-friendly performance.
Another important event will be the annual Global Digital Surveillance Forum (GDSF). The year’s theme is ‘Surveillance upgrade: IP and HD – from concept to installation’. The forum will focus on three topics: IP Megapixel surveillance, HD SDI/3G SDI surveillance, and the essentials in IP and HD surveillance. Industry heavyweights such as VIVOTEK, EverFocus and Hikvision will share market applications during the forum.
The Security 50 Annual Summit will make its debut at Secutech 2012 and will honour the top 50 security players for their industry contribution as well as offering a summit panel discussion.
In addition, the Secutech Award 2012 will present the Excellent Camera Award and Excellent DVR / NVR and Lens Award for HD products. Visitors are invited to vote for the products with best performance.
