WJ-DR200 digital video disk recorder

March/April 2000 Surveillance

The all new Panasonic WJ-DR200 digital video recorder offers digital recording for a host of security applications. Using DVD-RAM storage media to record single-shot or multiple images periodically or in the event of alarm conditions, the WJ-DR200 also offers pre-alarm recording capability which permits the WJ-DR200 to maintain an image buffer before or after an alarm condition. This allows retrieval of images critical to alarm investigation.

Key features include:

Capture important incidents and events.

Video sampling: 720 H x 480 V/720 H x 240 V (memory pixel), Y:U:V = 4:2:2.

Horizontal resolution: 480 lines (at fine mode).

3D scan conversion enables stabilised picture without blurring for moving objects in a single frame.

Three recording modes including: single-shot, multishot and time-lapse recording.

Total multishot picture capacity for both pre-alarm and post-alarm recording can be up to 384 images, depending on recording quality and video sampling.

Built-in video memory enables pre-alarm recording (past view).

Two camera inputs can capture a single object from different angles.

Three search modes: direct search, list search and thumbnail search by alarm number, record number or time and date.

Both image and audio recording.
