Computer monitors emit radiation, which can be easily received, by slightly modified portable TV sets at distances of up to 35 metres. The complete screen picture with all the secret data it contains can be copied by undesired listeners. Radiation is considerably reduced by RF reinforced walls, but is not reduced at all by window glass. The special Profilon AXA1-Tempest laminate is provided with a special alloy metallisation, which dampens the wavelength range critical for computers without creating electromagnetic disturbance fields. The shielding values achieve a damping factor of 25 dB to shield against compromising radiation.
