Britain's Millennium Dome hosted the world's largest party called the Millennium Experience and it was not without tight security. The Canadian-built, EX45 Hi-Impact Dome camera was part of the security system to protect Queen Elizabeth and the estimated 12 million visitors in the festival of events during 2000.
The EX45 Hi-Impact Dome camera was developed by Extreme CCTV engineers in Canada, UK and USA representing disciplines in materials science, power electronics, opto-electronics and industrial engineering to create a high-performance series of vandal resistant and weather tight cameras.
Unveiled in 1999, the EX45 is tough yet built with refined precision. It has quickly won approval from security specifiers for use in tough schools (eg Los Angeles High Schools), vandal prone neighbourhoods (eg New York Public Housing), prisons (eg Dixon Correctional, LA State), sports facilities (eg Texas Stadium) and in world-class hotels (eg Chateau Whistler, BC).
"The world's largest dome with its soft fabric roof cost almost US$1,3 billion to build. Our Ex45 dome at less than 5" and with a very hard polycarbonate dome costs a whole lot less!" says Jack Gin, Engineer and President of Extreme CCTV. "As professional engineers we appreciate the design work required for world class structures and products."
