The weakening rand has reminded some people of the 1998 currency crisis and questions are being asked as to the stability of prices of imported goods.
Reditron is pleased to announce that it is able to maintain its current pricing levels despite recent pressure on the rand. This is due to its 'buy prices' to a large extent being driven lower by the combined buying power of the international group of companies to which it is linked.
Says Reditron MD John Loftus, "Requests to suppliers regarding price adjustments to enable stable rand-based prices have also been met favourably by most foreign suppliers. This combined with productivity improvements and conservative treasury management has enabled Reditron to continue with its current pricing levels for the moment.
"Being able to pass this on to customers is what will ensure that Reditron remains in the forefront of providing quality products and service at competitive prices," he adds.
