We refer to the article in the April 2006 issue regarding the "establishment of one of SA's first state-of-the-art, SAIDSA compliant off-site CCTV monitoring stations". In view of what was conveyed in this article, we feel that it is important that CMT Trading is afforded the opportunity to clarify the contents of the article and set the record straight.
Firstly, it was in fact CMT Trading that was involved in the establishment of a Central Monitoring Station (CMS) for Corporate Security (Corsec). CMT Trading assisted Corsec with the design and configuration of an Adpro-based Central Monitoring Station. CMT Trading also assisted Corsec with the installation and commissioning of the relevant Adpro equipment and software in its monitoring station.
Secondly, CMT Trading was involved in the training of the Corsec CMS operators and sales and technical personnel. Martin Doyle, managing director of Corsec, indicated his intentions of being one of the pioneers of off-site video monitoring in South Africa and hence his selection of Adpro with respect to achieving this. The Corsec CMS is an example of a state-of-the-art CCTV monitoring centre and CMT Trading are proud of the fact that we were involved from the outset in the development of the Corsec CMS.
The Adpro products and video management software are BS 8418 compliant and this compliancy endorses the professional approach taken by Corsec in selecting Adpro, whose status has recently been entrenched by IMS Research, as the number one Remote Video Transmission Vendor in the world.
