Local manufacturer and supplier of digital surveillance systems, Cathexis has announced the market release of its latest catVision software. The software suite consists of three primary components - catSite, catMap and catAlarm that provide revolutionary facilities for surveillance of medium to large sites, either on site or remotely. In its full application the software provides professional central alarm monitoring for multiple clients in a multiple operator control room environment.
More explicitly the components are as follows: catSite site resource management software provides convenient 'drag-and-drop' control of all surveillance system resources including cameras, microphones, output relays and monitors independent of connectivity. catMap enables an operator to view and control site resources directly from an interactive electronic map within the catSite interface. catAlarm adds the centralised alarm management and client monitoring capability of a large control room, with operators responding to a prioritised alarm queue, and alarm calls, recordings and information being written to SQL database. An additional product catVGA enables operators to control camera displays on as many as four VGA monitors. Typical applications include control rooms with 'video walls'. The software operates with Cathexis' range of integrated surveillance systems with their choice of image compression technology as well as their video-over-IP products and selected independent digital IP cameras.
Cathexis will be displaying the new products at Securex.
