Aluvin Securiseal recently supplied Sun International with Envopak re-usable security pouches for use at the Nedbank Golf Challenge.
According to Yvette Olivier and her team Brenda Lee and Jennifer Porter, admin controllers for Sun City security department, the Envopak bags make the task of security at the Nedbank Challenge a much easier one.
"We do not allow cellphones or cameras onto the course during the tournament and we use Aluvin's Envopak pouches to store these items while the owner enjoys his or her day watching the golf. Our security in this regard is very tight as cellphones and cameras can be very disturbing to the players," says Olivier.
The specially constructed bags are numbered with two numbers. Firstly, the number of the bag itself into which the cellphone and/or camera is sealed. The other is the number of the box into which the bag is placed. The patron is given a tag printed with both numbers and to prevent the same tag from being used twice, a different colour tag was issued each day.
"The bags have been a major success. During the course of the tournament more than 15 000 cellphones and 1000 cameras were looked after and returned to their rightful owners," concludes Olivier.
