The new RF system from Impro Access Control - launched at IFSEC 2002 - is a combined pedestrian and vehicular proximity access control system.
Using both RF (radio frequency) and UHF (ultra high frequency) technologies in one system, the Impro RF System provides a suitable solution for smaller organisations that want to secure doors, gates, garages and car parks, whilst providing easy access for authorised people.
The Impro RF System provides access control for up to four doors. It consists of a receiver and handheld tags with four channels. Each channel has its own button on the tag and, when operated, is registered on the electronic access control system, along with the tag identification number, providing a useful log of events.
The Impro RF System can be used with the new Impro IXP 200 proximity access control system. When a tag is presented within range of an Impro reader, the tag identification number is sent to the IXP 200 where it is 'read' by the system, which determines whether access shall be allowed or denied to that tag, based on pre-stored systems data. The system is then instructed to allow or deny entry to that tag. Such a design means that users have the convenience of only having one tag to operate both vehicular and pedestrian doors.
