Sensormatic recently launched a new Wide Exit detection system that provides a price-competitive electro-magnetic (EM) solution for supermarkets, libraries, book stores and similar retailers. It features a stylish new pedestal operating off the EM Wide Exit Controller (PEWIDEEXIT), and a choice of either J magnetic or P magnetic detection. J magnetic technology is favoured in supermarkets, while P magnetic technology is favoured in libraries and bookstores.
The system can be installed as either a dual, split, or multipedestal configuration. One controller is needed for either a dual and split system. A two-controller system can power five pedestals covering exits up to 4,8 m wide.
Furthermore, the pedestal uses tinted, translucent materials and a stylish, ultra modern design to complement the interior of a retail store and to reduce the visual mass of a pedestal system.
Two alarm lamps at the top of each pedestal provide visual alarm notification. A piezo device in the Wide Exit Controller provides the audible alarm.
