New explosive detection systems for Brussels airport

Heimann Systems recently installed 10 X-ray inspection EDS (explosive detection system) systems for the international airport of Brussels Zaventem, for the automatic inspection of check-in luggage.

The order aims at a 100% control of check-in luggage, anticipating upcoming international security requirements. The 10 HI-SCAN 10080 EDS systems for the airport were installed between April and December 2001.

For Heimann Systems, the order is quite significant as the Zaventem Airport is responsible for the safety of 20 million passengers per year.
